Lahore Matric Exams 2026: 285,000 Students Appearing Amid High Security

The annual Lahore matric exams 2026 are currently in full swing under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore. Today, March 30, 2026, thousands of candidates appeared for the English compulsory paper. This year, approximately 285,000 students are participating in the examinations across the city. Authorities have organized extensive arrangements to manage these large numbers effectively.

The board is conducting the examination in two separate shifts to ensure smooth conduct. During the morning shift, students sat for their papers at 801 examination centers. Meanwhile, the second shift is taking place at 764 centers across Lahore. These measures help officials maintain order while handling the massive student turnout.

Officials have prioritized transparency and security during this exam cycle. Currently, 26 examination centers are under direct CCTV surveillance to prevent cheating and malpractice. Furthermore, the government has enforced Section 144 at all centers to maintain strict discipline. BISE Lahore has also barred all unauthorized individuals from entering the examination halls. Consequently, these steps provide a fair and controlled environment for every candidate.
