Zong has expanded its 5G footprint in Islamabad, bringing next-generation connectivity to 27 key locations across the capital. The latest development shows steady progress as Pakistan moves closer to a wider 5G rollout, with operators increasing real-world deployment in busy urban areas.

The new sites cover a mix of commercial hubs, public institutions, and high-traffic zones. Notably, Zong 5G is now working across the following areas:

These locations highlight Zong’s focus on high-density and high-traffic areas. Places like Centaurus Mall, F-10 Markaz, and the Blue Area see heavy daily usage. This helps ensure stable performance under real conditions.

The rollout also covers key government buildings and business districts. Locations such as PTA HQ, Parliament Lodges, and the Supreme Court are part of the list. In addition, premium zones like the Diplomatic Enclave and Serena are included.

For now, this remains a limited rollout. However, the growing number of active spots shows that Zong is preparing for a broader 5G launch. As competition increases, users in Islamabad may soon experience faster speeds and lower latency on a larger scale.
