Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved measures to standardize college education across Punjab, including transport support and expanded scholarships for students.
The decisions were taken during a meeting reviewing projects of the School Education Department and Higher Education Department. Under the plan, all commerce colleges in Punjab will be affiliated with public universities, including 36 colleges in 29 districts to be affiliated with 19 government universities.

In addition, nearly 994,000 students appeared in Grade 8 assessment exams under the Punjab Examination Commission, with a pass rate of 92 percent among girls and 84 percent among boys. The chief minister expressed satisfaction over girls securing the top three positions in the assessment.
