Oppo Find N6 Becomes World’s First Foldable With Crease Less Display

Oppo has introduced the Find N6 as its latest foldable smartphone, focusing on addressing common challenges such as visible screen creases and resistance to dust and water. The device brings changes across its hinge design, durability, and internal hardware.

The Find N6 maintains a similar size and display dimensions as its predecessor but introduces a redesigned hinge system. Oppo has implemented a second-generation Titanium Flexion hinge that is 11% wider and uses a teardrop folding shape to reduce long-term stress on the screen.

To minimize the crease, Oppo applied laser scanning at 0.3 micrometer precision to map hinge irregularities. It then used 3D liquid printing to deposit polymer layers, reducing surface unevenness from around 0.2 mm to 0.05 mm.

The company also introduced an updated folding layer called auto-smoothing Flex Glass. This layer is 50% thicker, offers double the shape recovery, and improves deformation resistance by 338%. According to Oppo, the display actively returns to its original shape after unfolding.

These changes aim to reduce crease visibility during use and limit its progression over time. The Find N6 is certified by TÜV Rheinland for 600,000 folds with maintained flatness and up to 1 million folds overall.

The device also improves durability with IP56, IP58, and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance. The device is available in Blossom Orange and Stellar Titanium, with a Pearl Black variant exclusive to China.

In terms of displays, the cover screen reaches 1,800 nits of brightness outdoors and 3,600 nits of peak brightness, while the inner display reaches 1,800 nits of brightness outdoors and 2,500 nits of peak. The phone retains a 6.62-inch LTPO cover display with 2616×1140 resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate, along with an 8.12-inch LTPO inner display at 2480×2248 resolution and the same refresh rate range. Both panels support 10-bit color and Dolby Vision.

The Find N6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It comes with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 4266MHz, paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The device runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16. Oppo has committed to providing five years of Android updates and six years of security updates.

The rear camera system includes a new 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size (ISOCELL HP5) and a brighter 21mm f/1.8 lens. The device also introduces a True Color sensor, first seen in the Find X9 series, which helps improve white balance and color accuracy.

The telephoto camera uses a 1/2.75-inch ISOCELL JN5 sensor paired with a 70mm f/2.7 lens, slightly adjusted from the previous generation.

The ultrawide camera sees a more notable upgrade, featuring a 50MP 1/2.75-inch sensor (JN5) with a 15mm f/2.0 lens and autofocus support.

For selfies, both the inner and outer displays include 20MP cameras with 1/3.42-inch sensors (ISOCELL KD1) and 21mm f/2.4 fixed-focus lenses.

The Find N6 is equipped with a 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, an increase from the previous 5,600 mAh capacity. It supports 80W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. Global availability begins March 20, primarily in Asian markets.

Pricing starts at $1,400 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The 16GB and 512GB variant is priced at $1547, while the 16GB and 1TB model costs $1696.

Early buyers will receive a MagSafe case bundled with a wallet and stand accessory at no additional cost.
