Officials briefed the meeting on ongoing work in residential sectors and commercial centers, including the repair of parking areas, improvement of footpaths and upgrades to commercial and Class-III shopping areas.
Randhawa directed the construction of bicycle tracks along existing footpaths in different parts of the city and called for pedestrian-friendly pathways in major commercial centers to improve accessibility and safety.
He also ordered the immediate removal of illegal constructions and encroachments from residential and commercial areas, signaling a renewed enforcement drive.
The meeting reviewed plans to improve infrastructure, including better signboards, lane markings and expansion of digital parking systems. Officials were also instructed to carry out regular landscaping and maintenance work, while prioritizing repairs of manholes, curbstones and drainage systems in affected areas.
