OnePlus Nord 6 Could Launch Next Month With Major Chip Upgrade

The OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to launch soon as the successor to the OnePlus Nord 5, and new leaks have revealed several key details about the upcoming mid-range smartphone.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the device could launch early next month, with the information shared on the social media platform X.

One of the most notable details from the leak is the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. If accurate, this would represent a major performance upgrade compared to the Nord 5.

A previously spotted Geekbench listing also pointed to the same chipset. Early benchmark data suggests the processor may deliver around 26 percent higher multicore CPU performance than the previous model.

This upgrade could place the Nord 6 among the more powerful devices in the mid range smartphone category.

Reports indicate the Nord 6 may share several specifications with the OnePlus Turbo 6, which was launched earlier in China.

Based on that model, the Nord 6 could feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The display is also expected to support 165Hz high frame rate gaming.

Connectivity may include a self-developed G1 e sports Wi Fi chip, designed to improve network stability during gaming.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 features a 9000mAh Glacier Battery with 80W wired fast charging.

However, it remains unclear whether the global Nord 6 will retain the same battery capacity. Some reports suggest the global model may include a smaller battery due to regulatory requirements.

The leak also suggests that the OnePlus Nord 6 may launch at a higher price than the Nord 5.

Although official pricing has not been announced, the upgraded chipset and gaming focused features could contribute to the increase.
