Johnson, a 30-year-old left-arm fast bowler, made his international debut for Australia in 2023 and has played five One-Day Internationals and eight T20 Internationals so far.
Joseph joins the Pakistan Super League with a strong reputation in the T20 format. The Caribbean fast bowler has taken 62 wickets in 45 T20I matches for the West Indies, maintaining an economy rate of 9.24. His international record includes two four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul.
The right-arm pacer is also familiar with playing conditions in Pakistan. He previously represented Peshawar Zalmi during the tenth season of the PSL, where he took 12 wickets in eight matches with an economy rate of 8.80.
The 11th edition of the PSL is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3 and will feature eight competing teams. Along with the six original franchises, two new teams, Pindiz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen, have joined the tournament.
The 39-day competition will include 44 matches. Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will open the tournament against Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen at their home ground on March 26.
Under the tournament schedule, each team will play ten matches in the group stage. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs, with the final set to take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 3. The Pakistan Cricket Board has designated May 4 as the reserve day for the final.
This year’s tournament will include six double-header match days, three of which will take place at Gaddafi Stadium.
PSL 11 will be played across six venues in Pakistan. Faisalabad and Peshawar will host PSL matches for the first time, joining the established venues in Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.
Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host the most matches with 15, followed by Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium with 11. Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium will stage seven matches, Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will host six, and Multan Cricket Stadium will hold four matches.
Peshawar’s Imran Khan Cricket Stadium will host a single daytime fixture between Peshawar Zalmi and Pindiz on March 28.
