Detailed Report
AOC has unveiled the AGON 7 Pro AGP277KX, a new gaming monitor designed for competitive esports players and high-end PC gaming setups. The display features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel and a dual-mode display system that allows users to switch between ultra-high resolution and extremely fast refresh rates.
The AGON 7 Pro AGP277KX allows users to switch between two performance modes with a single click. In the first mode, the monitor runs at a 5K resolution of 5120 × 2880 with a 180Hz refresh rate. This mode is designed for visually detailed AAA games. The second mode lowers the resolution to 2K (2560 × 1440) while increasing the refresh rate to 350Hz, which is aimed at esports titles where responsiveness and frame rate are more important.
According to AOC, the 5K resolution offers 77 percent more pixels than 4K. This allows for clearer textures, better visibility of distant objects, and higher overall image detail. The higher resolution can also benefit productivity tasks by enabling multiple windows on screen without scaling issues.
The monitor integrates STW wide viewing angle compensation optical technology, which helps maintain color accuracy even when the display is viewed from the side.
The panel provides a 178-degree viewing angle and includes an LR low reflection layer that reduces surface reflections to 1.8 percent. This helps improve screen visibility in bright environments.
For motion performance, the display uses AOC’s self-developed Overdrive tuning and provides a 1ms GTG response time. It also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and Adaptive Sync technologies, helping reduce screen tearing and stuttering during gameplay.
The AGON 7 Pro AGP277KX is factory calibrated with DeltaE below 1. It covers 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut and 99 percent of the DCI P3 color space. The monitor also carries DisplayHDR 400 certification and reaches peak brightness of up to 500 nits in HDR mode.
Connectivity options include DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and a USB-C port that supports 65W power delivery. These ports allow the monitor to connect directly to desktops, laptops, and game consoles.
Other features include hardware low blue light certification, PIP and PBP split screen support, and an ergonomic stand that supports height adjustment, swivel, tilt, and pivot rotation.
The AOC AGON 7 Pro AGP277KX is currently available in China for $869.
