Detailed Report
The government has dismissed claims circulating in sections of the media that Pakistan’s Hajj flight operations could be affected by the current situation in the Middle East.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said the reports are incorrect and clarified that preparations for Hajj 2026 are continuing according to the planned timeline.
A spokesperson for the ministry said there has been no decision to suspend or delay flights carrying Pakistani pilgrims. The spokesperson added that attempts to link regional tensions with the country’s Hajj flight arrangements are misleading.
According to the ministry, visa issuance for intending pilgrims is currently underway, while logistical and administrative preparations for the pilgrimage are progressing as scheduled.
Authorities said the detailed Hajj flight schedule will be announced after Eid ul Fitr. Once released, pilgrims will be informed about their travel plans as well as accommodation arrangements in Makkah and Madinah.
The ministry also advised intending pilgrims to rely only on official information and avoid unverified reports circulating in the media or on social platforms. Earlier, private Hajj operators were instructed to complete visa processing for Hajj 2026 by March 15, ahead of the final deadline set by Saudi authorities for March 20.
