The 2027 Ferrari Amalfi Spider arrives as a drop-top version of the Prancing Horse brand's entry-level sports car, maintaining the coupe's curvaceous styling but swapping in a retractable soft-top roof.

The soft-top roof takes 13.5 seconds to open or close, and can be operated at speeds of up to 37 mph.

Ferrari designed the roof to fold compactly, measuring just 8.7 inches thick when stowed and only taking up around three cubic feet of space in the trunk.

The roof will be offered in six different colors, and there are two different fabric styles, including a "technical" look that has a weave that makes the fabric shimmer in the sunlight.

The red paint color seen here is also a new addition for the Amalfi Spider, and is called Rosso Tramonto.

The powertrain carries over unchanged from the Amalfi coupe, pairing a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The engine sends 631 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels.

Ferrari says the Spider weighs a little less than 200 pounds more than the coupe, and claims it can match the coupe's 3.3-second sprint to 62 mph.

The interior is also mostly identical to that of the coupe, with a central touchscreen complemented by a digital gauge cluster for the driver and a narrow screen for the passenger.
