Lucid's upcoming Cosmos SUV will share its platform with the company's upcoming Earth SUV but wear distinctive styling that's expected to be more sporty. Details are slim for now, but we expect to see single- and dual-motor powertrains available, driving range of at least 300 miles per charge, and a spacious cabin with lots of tech.

An early peek at the dashboard reveals a large display screen that runs across the majority of the dashboard, with a navigation map and speedometer forward of the steering wheel. Lucid is also touting improvements in energy efficiency with a new electric motor called Atlas that will debut in the Cosmos.

The Cosmos will be a brand-new nameplate for the Lucid brand, and we expect to see it revealed sometime in late 2026, with production starting for the 2028 model year.

It's too early to say which trim levels the Cosmos will be offered in, but historically, Lucid launches first with a loaded Dream Edition model, then works its way down to a budget-friendly Pure model. We've only seen a teaser image of the Cosmos's dashboard so far, but it features a large infotainment display that stretches from behind the steering wheel past the middle of the dashboard. The display is said to offer plenty of customizability and is designed to be used by multiple users. An AI voice assistant is also integrated into the software.
