PTA Completes Second Round of 5G Spectrum Auction’s Second Phase

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has completed the second round of the second phase of the 5G spectrum auction, with telecom operators continuing to compete for positioning in the 2600 MHz band.

All three telecom operators participated in bidding to determine their positions in the 2600 MHz spectrum band. The competition among the three companies for positioning in the 2600 MHz band remained ongoing during the process.

The PTA subsequently initiated the third round of bidding as part of the auction process.

As part of the second phase of the 5G spectrum auction conducted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the bidding process for positioning in the 2600 MHz band has now been completed.

All three telecom companies have selected their respective positions in the 2600 MHz band following the bidding rounds.

The first round of bidding for positioning in the 3500 MHz band is scheduled to begin at 12:30 PM.

PTA officials said the results for the positioning of both the 2600 MHz and 3500 MHz bands will be announced together.

The bidding process for positioning in the 2600 MHz band continued for three rounds before reaching completion.
