Following the circulation of the video, Karachi traffic police clarified that e-challans were issued only to motorcycles with broken, incomplete, or unclear number plates.
Police officials said the photographs were taken as part of a verification and awareness campaign aimed at ensuring compliance with traffic laws and number plate regulations.
Authorities stated that the companies and employees concerned had already been instructed to install original and clearly visible number plates before the enforcement operation was conducted.
Officials also clarified that the viral video was recorded several days earlier. Traffic police have once again advised citizens to use government approved and properly visible number plates to avoid penalties under the ongoing e-challan enforcement campaign.
