Detailed Report
IO Interactive just updated the PC specification requirements for 007 First Light. The highly anticipated James Bond adventure launches on May 27, 2026, for most current-gen platforms. However, Nintendo Switch 2 users will wait longer. The development team needs more time dedicated to that specific port.
The studio, famous for the Hitman franchise, promises a fluid combat system. Players will experience a seamless blend of melee and gunplay. Yesterday, the team outlined exactly what hardware you need to run it.
Back in January, players only saw the minimum requirements. Now, the developers have added Enthusiast and Ultra presets. You can achieve comfortable frame rates without any upscaling technology on the Minimum, Recommended, and Enthusiast presets.
A solid six-core processor, like the AMD Ryzen 5 7600, easily handles Medium or High settings. If you want 1440p at 60 FPS, you need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070. Currently, refurbished units sell for around $500 on Amazon.
Conversely, the Ultra preset necessitates Nvidia DLSS 4.5 upscaling technology. AMD users still have options. Graphics cards with at least 16 GB of VRAM, like the Radeon RX 7900 XTX or the Radeon RX 9070 XT, handle 4K resolution comfortably.
Note: All tiers require Windows 10 or 11 (64-Bit), an SSD, and a minimum of 80 GB of storage space.
*DLSS is not enabled for the MINIMUM, RECOMMENDED, and ENTHUSIAST categories.
Not every graphical feature ships on day one. Uncapped frame rates, input remapping, and audio options will go live immediately. However, Nvidia’s RTX Path Tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction arrive later. IO Interactive plans to release these specific features in a Summer 2026 update.
