Detailed Report
The ICT Administration Islamabad, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), has launched a new Online Registration System for factories and shops/establishments in a move aimed at digitizing regulatory processes and reducing administrative delays.
Officials said the initiative is designed to simplify business registration by replacing manual paperwork with an automated digital platform, allowing businesses to complete registrations more efficiently and with less procedural hassle.
Alongside the registration system, authorities also introduced the Labor Inspection Management System (LIMS), which will automate workplace inspections and improve monitoring of labor law compliance.
Under LIMS, inspections will be digitally scheduled, tracked, and recorded, enabling authorities to ensure better enforcement of workplace safety and labor regulations while improving transparency in the process.
The new digital systems will also provide real-time access to data on registered businesses and inspection activities, allowing both the public and regulators to track compliance more effectively.
Officials say the reforms are part of broader efforts to modernize governance in Islamabad, improve efficiency in public service delivery, and enhance transparency and accountability within the labor and business registration framework.
The system is expected to significantly reduce processing times and improve ease of doing business for entrepreneurs and industrial operators in the capital territory.
