Detailed Report
The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHNP) has launched a cashless payment system for driving license fees, allowing citizens to pay digitally without visiting banks.
The system was inaugurated by Deputy Inspector General Operations Asghar Ali, as part of efforts to simplify public service delivery and improve convenience for applicants.
Under the new system, citizens can pay license fees through mobile platforms such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, and other banking applications, enabling faster and more accessible transactions.
In collaboration with the National Bank of Pakistan, QR code machines have been installed at the Islamabad Driving Licensing Authority. Similar installations are underway in Sheikhupura and Quetta to expand the service nationwide.
Officials said the system will reduce processing time, eliminate the need for physical bank visits, and provide real time payment confirmation, improving overall efficiency for applicants.
