Vivo Y6 5G Launches With 7,200mAh Battery and 120Hz Display For $263

Vivo has introduced the Y6 5G shortly after launching the Y6t. The new smartphone uses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and adds a large battery, 5G support, and durability-focused features.

The Vivo Y6 5G features a 6.75-inch LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1,200 nits peak brightness.

The phone measures 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.39mm and weighs 219 grams. It is available in silver, gold, and black colors.

The handset carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Vivo also said the phone has passed drop tests from heights of up to 1.7 meters.

Internals and Software The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. It is offered with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, while storage options include 128GB and 256GB variants. The device supports 5G connectivity and runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6.

Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button and an IR blaster.

The rear camera uses a 50MP sensor. On the front, the phone includes an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The Y6 5G packs a 7,200mAh battery with support for 44W wired charging.

Pricing starts at $263 for the 8GB + 128GB model. The 8GB + 256GB version costs $292, while the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at $322. Vivo has not announced whether the Y6 5G will launch outside China.
