NADRA Opens District Birth and Death Records to Public Online

NADRA has launched a redesigned website enabling citizens to access district birth and death records and submit right to information requests through verified accounts online.

The updated platform replaces an older text heavy website previously criticised by users for outdated design and difficult navigation across multiple services and information sections.

According to National Database and Registration Authority, the redesigned portal structures services statistics and support in a more organised user centric format for visitors.

For the first time the Geospatially Referenced Demographic Information System is accessible displaying registration data on interactive maps and enabling comparisons with district census figures.

A map gallery provides downloadable thematic maps for research and planning purposes offering datasets that were previously restricted to government departments and institutional users.

Key identity documents including CNICs NICOPs and family registration certificates are categorised by user type to simplify searches for residents and overseas Pakistanis using services.

The website integrates verification services for banks telecom companies and government agencies into section while introducing an RTI portal with online tracking and response timelines.

Customer support includes a round the clock call centre automated response system and complaint tracker with publicly available performance metrics for monitoring service delivery standards.

The careers portal has been updated with verified Pak ID login a streamlined application process and improved access to employment opportunities within the organisation.

The platform highlights Nadra’s registration network including centres mobile units and overseas services reflecting its digital transition from paper based systems to a biometric database.
