Detailed Report
JazzWorld has reinforced its commitment to environmental sustainability through a dual-initiative campaign focused on energy conservation and emissions reduction, combining symbolic action with operational measures to drive measurable impact. These efforts are part of JazzWorld’s broader ESG framework, which prioritizes responsible energy use, climate resilience, and long-term decarbonization through network optimization, energy-efficient technologies, and increased reliance on renewable solutions.
JazzWorld partnered with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) to observe Earth Hour at its headquarters in Islamabad. As part of the initiative, all non-essential lighting and digital displays were switched off for one hour, underscoring a shared commitment to energy conservation and climate awareness, while aligning with broader efforts to promote a greener capital.
Complementing this effort, JazzWorld earlier collaborated with the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) and the district administration to conduct a vehicular emission testing drive at its headquarters. The initiative focused on reducing Scope 1 emissions from the company’s fleet and Scope 3 emissions linked to employee commuting.
More than 100 vehicles underwent emission checks to ensure compliance with environmental standards and to encourage the adoption of cleaner mobility practices across the workforce.
“At JazzWorld, we recognize our responsibility to reduce our environmental impact and embed sustainability into how we operate,” said Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Group Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer at JazzWorld. “Initiatives like these reflect our commitment to driving responsible practices within our organization while also influencing broader behavioral change and contributing to a more sustainable ecosystem.”
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13 on Climate Action, these initiatives reflect JazzWorld’s approach to embedding sustainability into its core strategy. The company’s long-term ambition is to progressively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move toward carbon neutrality in line with global best practices.
