Detailed Report
Huawei has officially introduced the fifth generation of its Watch Fit lineup with the launch of the Watch Fit 5 and Watch Fit 5 Pro.
The new wearables were announced during Huawei’s major product event, which also included the debut of the Pura X Max foldable smartphone, the Pura 90 Pro series, Watch Buds 2, and the Watch Ultimate Star Diamond Edition.
Both smartwatches keep the familiar rectangular Watch Fit design, but the Watch Fit 5 Pro brings slimmer bezels that allow for a larger screen. The Pro model features a 1.92-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 2.5D sapphire glass protection. Huawei said the panel can reach up to 3,000 nits peak local brightness for improved outdoor visibility.
The standard Watch Fit 5 comes with a smaller 1.82-inch AMOLED display that reaches up to 2,500 nits of brightness. Both models support Always-On Display watch faces and feature two physical controls on the right side, including a rotating digital crown and a shortcut button.
Huawei has used aluminum midframes on both devices, while the Watch Fit 5 Pro adds a titanium bezel for a more premium finish.

Health Features and Fitness Tracking Huawei has upgraded the health hardware on the Watch Fit 5 generation with a new 6 LED and 6 PPG optical heart rate system, along with temperature sensors.
The Watch Fit 5 Pro offers additional features such as ECG monitoring and depth sensing. Both watches carry a 5 ATM water resistance rating, making them suitable for swimming. However, only the Pro version is certified for freediving at depths of up to 40 meters.
For workouts, users get a wide range of sports modes. Huawei has also added an updated cycling mode that appears similar to the one available on the Watch GT 6 Pro.

Connectivity and Smart Functions Chinese versions of both watches include dual-band GNSS positioning, NFC, and Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity. Huawei has not yet confirmed whether all of these features will be included in international versions.
Both smartwatches include a built-in microphone and speaker. Huawei has also added a voice recorder feature, allowing users to record meetings, reminders, or quick notes directly from the wrist.
Huawei claims the Watch Fit 5 series can deliver up to seven days of battery life with normal usage. With lighter use, the watches can last as long as 10 days.
When Always-On Display is enabled, battery life drops to around four days. Charging is handled through Huawei’s proprietary magnetic puck charger.
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 is available in purple, green, white, black, and silver color options. It is priced at CNY 1,099, which is around $161.
The Watch Fit 5 Pro comes in black, white, and orange colors. Pricing starts at around $322.
Huawei has not yet shared details about international availability.
