The 11th season of the Pakistan Super League, PSL 2026, begins on March 26, and several uncapped players are set to attract major attention.
From rising batters to young fast bowlers, this season could give a new group of players the platform to break through. Here are five uncapped players who could light up PSL 2026.
Rawalpindiz signed 23-year-old left-handed opener Abdullah Fazal at this year’s PSL auction for Rs. 67.5 lakh. This will be his first PSL season.
Fazal built his reputation over the last two National T20 League campaigns, where he scored 420 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of nearly 160.
He also impressed in the semi-final of the ongoing National T20 Cup, making 88 off 41 balls for Karachi Blues against Sialkot. His innings won the match for his team and earned him the Player of the Match award.
Beyond T20 cricket, Fazal has also shown his quality in the longer format. He averages 41 in 25 first-class matches and was his team’s top performer in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26 final, scoring 88 and 114 in the title-winning match.
Farhan Yousaf comes into PSL 2026 with growing momentum after leading Pakistan at the U19 World Cup earlier this year.
The middle-order batter was not picked at the auction, but Peshawar Zalmi signed him directly after his strong performances in the ongoing National T20 Cup for Lahore Whites.
Yousaf announced himself with a 31-ball 61 in a chase of 168 after coming to the crease at 48-3. He has since scored 143 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 188.
Twenty-year-old fast bowler Ubaid Shah will play his third PSL season in 2026. The younger brother of Naseem Shah, Ubaid took 12 wickets in 11 PSL matches, with all 12 coming in the 2025 season from nine games for Multan Sultans.
He attracted strong interest at the auction and was eventually signed by Lahore Qalandars for Rs. 2.7 crore, which was four and a half times his base price of Rs. 60 lakh.
Overall, Ubaid has taken 29 wickets in 28 T20 matches at an average of 28.31, with an economy rate of 9.24. He also has an impressive first-class record, claiming 72 wickets in 16 matches at 25.20, including two five-wicket hauls and one 10-wicket match haul.
Eighteen-year-old right-arm pacer Ali Raza was retained by Peshawar Zalmi for Rs. 1.96 crore, underlining how highly the franchise rates him.
Raza already has PSL experience and took 12 wickets in nine matches during the 2025 season.
He was also the fourth-highest wicket-taker at the 2026 U19 World Cup, finishing with 13 wickets in five matches. He had also taken nine wickets in the 2024 edition. Notably, Ian Bishop and Wasim Akram are among his admirers.
Sameer Minhas is widely seen as one of the most exciting batting talents in Pakistan. Islamabad United bought the opener for Rs. 1.9 crore at the PSL auction.
He was the top scorer at the 2025 U19 Asia Cup, making 471 runs in five matches at an average of 157 and a strike rate of 117.45. That run included a remarkable 113-ball 172 against India in the final.
At this year’s U19 World Cup, Minhas finished as Pakistan’s leading run-scorer with 197 runs in five matches at a strike rate of 105.
He also holds the record for the fastest youth ODI century, beating Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 52-ball mark by reaching three figures in just 42 balls against Zimbabwe earlier this year.
Minhas has played only two senior T20 matches so far, but PSL 2026 could be the tournament where he introduces himself to a much wider audience.
