Detailed Report
After weeks of teasers, OnePlus has officially launched the OnePlus 15T in China. The new model replaces last year’s OnePlus 13T and introduces notable upgrades in performance, battery life, and durability.
At the core, the device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster performance. OnePlus has also increased the battery size to 7,500mAh using Si-C technology. Charging speeds have improved as well, with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of durability, the 15T steps forward with an IP68/IP69K rating. This means the phone can handle high-pressure water jets and survive immersion up to 1.5m for 30 minutes. As a result, it offers stronger protection compared to its predecessor.
The display remains a 6.32-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,216 x 2,640px. However, OnePlus has upgraded the refresh rate to 165Hz, which ensures smoother scrolling and gaming. The panel can reach up to 3,600 nits of peak local brightness. It also includes a 16MP front camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.
On the camera side, OnePlus keeps a dual 50MP setup. The main camera uses a 1/1.56-inch Sony sensor with optical image stabilization. It is supported by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, OIS, and 7x lossless zoom. The device supports 8K video recording at 60fps and 4K video at 120fps with Dolby Vision.
The software experience runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, along with Oppo AI features. This setup aims to deliver a smoother and smarter user experience.
OnePlus offers the 15T in white, brown, and green colors. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant starts at CNY 4,299, which is about $625. Meanwhile, the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version costs CNY 5,699, around $828. Open sales in China began on March 25. For now, OnePlus has not shared plans for a global launch.
