JazzWorld, Pakistan’s leading integrated digital ServiceCo, has won two prestigious ESG awards at the 15th International Summit on Corporate Social Responsibility, recognizing its contributions to sustainable innovation and disaster preparedness, and its commitment to the purpose of enabling a Better Life for All.
The awards include the Sustainability Innovation Award for JazzWorld’s Digital Safar Program, and the Crisis/Disaster Assistance Award for its collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on the Early Warning System and flood relief efforts. The awards were presented by Syed Mustafa Kamal, Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, during a ceremony in Karachi.
Sharing his thoughts on the recognition, Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Group Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs at JazzWorld, said, “The recognition reflects JazzWorld’s commitment to its purpose of leveraging technology to enable a Better Life for All across Pakistan. From equipping young students with digital skills—preparing them for the future while fostering awareness around online safety—to empowering communities with timely tools and information to better prepare for climate emergencies such as floods, our focus is on creating lasting societal value through innovation that is purposeful, inclusive, and impactful.”
JazzWorld’s Digital Safar Program, implemented in collaboration with Google and Tech Valley, equips students in grades 6–8 with digital skills, online safety awareness, and introductory coding knowledge, while also training teachers to integrate digital learning into classrooms. Since its launch, the program has reached over 300,000 students and 5,000 teachers.
On the other hand, the company’s collaboration with NDMA on a mobile-based Early Warning System—developed with support from the GSMA Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation—uses Jazz’s expansive network to deliver real-time alerts and safety guidelines to vulnerable communities facing climate-related threats. Under the collaboration, over 300 million early warning and advisory messages were delivered during monsoon-related flooding and periods of torrential rainfall, helping strengthen disaster preparedness across the country.
These recognitions highlight how JazzWorld continues to translate technology into tangible societal impact—advancing digital literacy, strengthening climate resilience, and supporting communities through solutions designed to create sustainable value for Pakistan.
