Detailed Report
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to hand over possession of plots in Islamabad’s E-12 sector within the next one to two months, as development work nears completion in key sub-sectors.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi informed the National Assembly that development in E-12/1 has been completed on available land, while work in E-12/2 and E-12/3 is progressing rapidly and expected to be finished within two months, subject to site conditions.
He said possession has been delayed in some areas due to illegal encroachments, but plots where land is clear and development is complete will be handed over soon. Authorities, including CDA, ICT Administration and police, are working to remove encroachments hindering progress.
The minister added that E-12/4 has faced major delays due to long-standing land issues and illegal occupation. Development work in this sub-sector will begin once the land is cleared.
Plot handovers will begin on available land within the next two months, while remaining areas will be developed and transferred after encroachments are removed.
