Detailed Report
Digital financial platform SadaPay has confirmed a temporary outage of its mobile application following a disruption to its cloud infrastructure, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Bahrain.
According to the company, the outage stems from wider issues affecting the AWS region due to the regional situation in the Gulf. The situation worsened overnight and caused a complete service disruption for users of the SadaPay app.
In an official notification, SadaPay said the issue is linked to damage to shared cloud infrastructure and is not specific to its own systems, adding that similar financial services across the Gulf and the wider region are also facing challenges due to the same disruption.
Despite the outage, the company assured users that funds remain safe and fully accounted for. It further clarified that debit cards, ATM withdrawals, and point-of-sale (POS) transactions continue to function normally.
The company said it is working to resolve the issue with urgency and will provide further updates once more information becomes available.
