Detailed Report
Xiaomi’s T series smartphones have traditionally launched in September, but that schedule may shift this year. A new report suggests the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro could debut as early as May, supported by multiple certifications already obtained worldwide.
The Xiaomi 17T has recently appeared in Singapore’s IMDA database, following earlier certification in India through BIS. The global model carries the number 2602DPT53G, while the Indian variant is listed as 2602DPT53I.
The IMDA listing confirms support for wireless charging, marking a change from the previous generation. The device also includes standard connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
According to earlier reports, the Xiaomi 17T is expected to retain the same camera setup as the Xiaomi 15T. This includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP front-facing camera.
The device is also rumored to feature a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging.
The Xiaomi 17T is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 chipset.
With certifications already in place across multiple regions, the Xiaomi 17T appears on track for an earlier-than-usual launch, potentially arriving in May instead of the typical September window.
