Is Deepal Launching S05 Comfort Variant in Pakistan?

Deepal has brought the hard roof Comfort variant of the S05 SUV to select showrooms, sparking speculation about a possible launch in Pakistan.

However, the company clarified that the displayed units are test vehicles meant for internal evaluation and stated that there are currently no plans to introduce the variant for commercial sale.

Despite this, dealership staff have been showing the vehicle to customers and suggesting that pricing details may be announced if a launch is considered. Industry estimates place the expected price between Rs. 9 million and Rs. 9.5 million, positioning the variant below the S05 REEV Premium, which is priced at Rs. 10 million ex factory.

The Comfort variant focuses on essential features and excludes several options available in the Premium version, including advanced driver assist systems, a panoramic roof, powered tailgate, memory seats, and wireless charging.

If introduced, the variant would enter the mid premium SUV segment alongside models such as the Honda HR-V e:HEV, Toyota Corolla Cross, Haval Jolion HEV, and BYD Atto 3.

Market observers say a lower priced variant centered on comfort and basic features could appeal to buyers seeking a simpler SUV option, particularly those moving up from smaller vehicles. For now, the company maintains that the variant remains under evaluation with no confirmed launch timeline.
