Detailed Report
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) said its Secondary School Certificate (SSC) 2026 examinations for overseas centers may be postponed due to the ongoing regional security situation.
In a letter issued on March 18, the board said it is closely monitoring the situation in Gulf countries and reviewing options regarding exams scheduled to begin on March 31, 2026.
The board stated that if the prevailing uncertainty continues, it may delay the examinations at international centers and reschedule them at a later stage after Eid ul Fitr, in consultation with stakeholders.
FBISE Chairman Prof. Dr. Ikram Ali Malik said the board remains aware of concerns among students and institutions and is working to ensure suitable alternative arrangements if required.
He added that the board will take necessary steps if security conditions, government restrictions, or logistical challenges prevent the exams from taking place as planned.
