Punjab Hospital Gets State-of-the-Art Cath Lab

A newly established state-of-the-art Cath Lab has started treating cardiac patients at District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Bahawalnagar in Punjab, providing key heart procedures free of cost.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Kashif said the facility has begun performing angiography procedures, while stents are also being implanted in heart patients.

He added that procedures involving angiography and the insertion of assist devices have also commenced at the Cath Lab.

According to Dr. Kashif, patients are receiving treatment for cardiac diseases without any charges at DHQ Hospital Bahawalnagar.

Medical Superintendent DHQ Hospital Dr. Amir Raza said the facility is a gift from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for the people of Bahawalnagar.

He noted that heart patients from the district previously had to travel to Lahore, Bahawalpur, and Multan for treatment. With the new Cath Lab now operational, they can access these cardiac services locally and free of cost.
