Mayor Karachi Inaugurates Renovated Sports Complex

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has inaugurated the renovated Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Sports Complex in Landhi Town.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, he said the development of a modern sports complex in Landhi was a welcome step for residents.

He stressed that public recreational spaces should also remain accessible to ordinary citizens, including the poor and middle class.

Wahab said not everyone can afford expensive restaurants or private sports clubs, so the city must provide quality facilities in every locality.

He said the complex would offer modern sports facilities, including a swimming pool, for residents of Landhi and nearby areas. He added that martial arts training and other activities would also be available to help promote healthy habits among the youth.

The mayor said linking young people with sports grounds is essential for building a healthy society, as sports encourage discipline, teamwork and a competitive spirit.

He added that the KMC is upgrading sports infrastructure across Karachi and that providing quality facilities near residential areas remains a key priority.

Wahab said public spaces should be opened to people across the city, including residents of Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, Korangi and Malir.
